Wharfedale Obsidian 600 Home Theatre Package

The Wharfedale Obsidian 600 HCP is an attractive 5.0 channel one-box solution ideal for the AV enthusiast. It consists of one pair of Obsidian Tower speakers, one Obsidian Centre speaker and one pair of Obsidian Surround speakers.

The Obsidian Tower speaker is a 3-way reflex loaded front speaker with a silk dome tweeter, two 130mm midrange drivers and a 200mm side-firing woofer. The midrange drivers have phase plugs affixed to the stationary motor structure for improved polar frequency response, resulting in a wider lateral dispersion. The twitter and midrange drivers ensure strong and clear vocals and instruments while the 200mm side-mounted woofer delivers a deep, thunderous bass, with authority and wide dynamic capability only peculiar to larger American counterparts.

The Obsidian Centre is a 2-way centre speaker employing a 25mm silk dome tweeter and two 100mm mid/bass drivers. The Obsidian Surround is a 2-way surround effect speaker with a 25mm silk dome tweeter and a 100mm mid/bass driver. Both are reflex loaded and come supplied with wall mounts to allow placement versatility. 

While focused on functionality and a very significant price/quality correlation, this home cinema package well integrates into any home environment. And it's removable front fabric grilles give you the option of leaving them on or off. The relatively high sensitivity and easy load enable AV receivers of modest price levels to work to their full potential. Dynamic range and weight have never been better exhibited in speakers of such a slim stature.
